Timeshare Industry Makes A Big Impact
The U.S. timeshare industry made a $66.7 BILLION economic impact on the U.S. economy in 2002, according to a national study conducted for the research arm of the American Resort Development Association.
I remember that industry number being about 1.5 billion in 1981 when I first got into the timeshare business. Folks, this vacation timeshare thing just might make it! (grin).
RCI today has over 3 million members and is still growing.
The timeshare portion of the major hotel timeshare developers' income (such as Marriott) and others, is an important segment of their total income.
And, the regions surrounding the developments also benefit from the generation of a local base of REPEAT visitors, new jobs, and visitor expenditures. The study estimates the number of jobs, full and partime, at 476,100.
Timeshare - quality time with loved ones, is good for the heart and good for the community.
