Worldmark Trendwest to build in Anaheim

Anaheim will get a 3rd timeshare resort: Trendwest Resorts plans to open a 14-story, 253-unit complex in 2008.

Two smaller resorts are presently located in Anaheim, Dolphin's Cove, and the Peacock Suites.

The Trendwest resort will be the area's largest timeshare resort, featuring multi-bedroom condominiums and a rooftop deck for fireworks viewing.

The company, which owns 58 resorts, decided to build in Anaheim because of requests from existing owners and the central location to Southern California attractions, like the beach and Angel Stadium.

Timeshares are growing in popularity with 3.87 million owners as of January, up about 14 percent from the previous year.
