Timeshare Resales | Timeshare "Down Under" - Aussies Are Coming Into The Fold

Australia has been slower to fully embrace timeshare than has the USA.

Timeshare is sold there, just like it is here, via sales presentations which place a lot of importance on buying the first day. For good reason: the developer has to sell a product nobody thinks they want, to people who are at a seminar just to get the free gift and who are determined not to buy anything.

The sign-up and cancellation rate is about the same as in the U.S., the sign-up rate at the presentations is about 12 per cent, of which 22 per cent will exercise the cooling-off clause.

It is quite a testimonial to the power and appeal of the product that now millions of people worldwide are proud and for the most part, happy owners.

Worldmark Trendwest is the largest developer in Australia, with 12 resorts along the east coast of Australia, two in New Zealand and one in Fiji, in addition to 60 resorts in the U.S.

Approximately 150,000 owners own timeshare in Australia.
