If the Atrium Resort is a gold crown resort I need to rethink my thinking as to the importance of having a gold crown resort. We have a 1 bedroom in Hawaii which transferred us to an efficiency and a small one at that. You can't call out on the phones because they do not accept 1-800 numbers. So our calling card was useless. I also could not get on line with my laptop, which for someone who needs to stay in touch for business purposes is a necessity. You can get free WIFI if you drive to the McDonalds everyday when you want to use it, but again, what a pain. You could use the 1 computer in the lobby but they charge $5 for 20 minutes. I thought I was suppose to be catered to when I'm on vacation, not charged everytime I turn around. They called a cab for me and said no make sure you use # so & so. His fee was higher than others which made me wonder if the Resort was getting a kick back. Of the week we were there the TV only received the major networks 1 eveninig out of the 6. If you went to the office to complain there was always another excuse. In talking with several people they would say they don't have a time share they just rent when they want to come down. So not only do time share owners take 2nd place on who gets what, the resort is making money off of renting the Atriums time share owners units. I would think if you are a time share resort it should be for time share owners not renters. I would probably had a better unit if it wasn't already rented out. The complex is very dated and the elevators jerk when you reach a floor. Makes you think that there going to keep going. I could go on but why, it only makes my blood boil and vacation is suppose to be for relaxing. I will always consider St. Marteen as the "Island with its hands out" Hope you have a better experience!
