    1. Rating Review:    (5 Stars - Excellent)
The Unit - Upon arrival at GPP they were doing a family checkin celebration which was over the top. They had a balloon maker, flowers (for mom), and goodie bags for the kids. What a treat! I retrieved our room key and made our way to our unit. The unit 252 - Villa C - was very clean and the view was gorgeous. The oddity for our decor was a white plastic head in the Master bedroom. I have no idea why someone would choose that for decor. Unfortunately there was no laundry unit and I didn't feel like paying the coin fairy so I decided to forgo laundry this vaca. I'm used to Marriots and Starwoods so the unit wasn't in the same class as those - but the resort has sooo many other benefits that i could clearly overlook this small detail.

Location - GPP is located about 5 minutes driving distance to the beach. We packed lunch and had two fun beach days during our stay. I purchased wetsuits (shorty) for everyone since it was May and we swam for about 2 hours w/o getting cold. Sweet! I also brought boogie boards for us to have fun with (although the Costco there sells them for $25 which is a great deal). Another bonus was that Legoland is about 5 minutes away when walking...which saved us $$ in parking fees - nice! I snagged a coupon from the latest Brickmaster for a b1g1 admission ticket. Costco sells cheap tix too. We enjoyed Legoland and had a blast at their waterpark which I totally reccommend for a few hours of your Legoland adventure. Costco is also about 5 min walking as well - except I wouldn't attempt carrying anything from Costco back up to the resort...I'm not that crazy. I was PLEASANTLY surprised to find out that the outlet mall is right down the street as well. A few good deals were had by my family at the Vans and Sketchers outlet. No Coach bag for me on this trip...perhaps next time.

On Site Activities - The kiddos immediately fell in love with the family pool area that houses a great kids water park. We also made our way to the activities room where they had free air hockey and ping pong which the kids loved as well. I got in a few good shots myself! The arcade was fair, but we didn't use it much. We attended some of the activities such as Bingo, Poker, Movie night, Carnival, and more. They were all fairly priced. Additionally while I was there they gave away many free stays and gift shop certificates during some of the activities which I thought made super prizes. I didn't win, but some folks at our table did and they were thrilled. Plus the activities were all $1-$5 each...which is super cheap in my opinion.

Departure - Checkout was smooth and I wasn't charged the $9/day fee since I wasn't originally staying there anyway. The activities director and ALL of the staff were friendly and I would definitely say this resort beat out the Marriots and Starwoods I have stayed in from an activities perspective. I gave this resort an 8.5 because of the unit decor and the lack of upgrades - but I would DEFINITELY visit this resort again! By far one of the best family vacations yet! I love this place
